Code

Bitsy Web Player – HTML Front End for playing Bitsy games. Bitsy works on most platforms with a modern web browser, but touch controls on Phones and Tablets is a little finicky. This is a front end that displays a list of Bitsy games, and when one is selected, opens it with on-screen controls for the game. It also supports handheld joypads. The code has been removed from github at the request of the developer of Bitsy.

Bitsy Gallery Player – This is my version of Adam LeDoux’s BitsyBox. Place Bitsy games in a folder, and it will give you a front end with all the games. Unlike LeDoux’s player, this one uses Bitsy’s HTML files. Supports handheld joypads. Currently it is Mac-Only since I developed it with Swift. It has been pulled from Github at the request of the developer of Bitsy. I developed it for Design Camp 2026, where we passed around a bluetooth game controller and played each other’s games.

5 Second Rule Video Player – Plays a frame of video every 5 seconds. Currently a stand-alone app, soon to be a screen saver.

SmashaVid – Takes random frames from a video clip and combines them to create a single image. This is inspired by a long-gone app for the iPhone that did this. I loved the results it generated since it was truly a surprise every time I used it.
