5 Minute Storyboarding Video that I did several years ago. I needed a quick, simple video to explain storyboarding to my students. It now has over 95k views on YouTube.
Film shot in the early 80’s on 16mm film. Was shown at the NC Museum of Art as part of a NC Filmmakers showcase.
This is a stop motion animation I did in a day. It is 90% analog effects. I played guitar along with the animation, and that became the background music.
I became fascinated with guerrilla filmmaking, driven by online media and lowered cost of equipment. This was shot many years ago with a couple of $200 digital still cameras that could shoot video at a time when camcorders were tape based and expensive. I have always thought of ways to be economical with technology, with the belief that lowered cost will let more people be creators. I shot this documentary with my awesome friend Kent Meiswinkle. It documents the process of creating plastic parts using widely used technology. It is a little long in places, but I was so enamored with the process that I couldn’t leave anything out.
This was done using Photoshop and After Effects. Lots of compositing, a particle generator and a UFO made from a light fixture.
This was shot for an installation that ended up not happening. It is designed to be projected on a wall in a darkened room with the audio at a low volume.
